Job Coach / Job Developer I (Janitorial)
Reports To: Vocational Services Director Salary Grade: 20 FLSA: Non-Exempt
Annualized Salary Range: $23,455 - $36,387
Primary Function: Primary purpose of this position is to develop and implement services to assist SEABHS clients to obtain and maintain employment. Work includes but is not limited to accompanying clients to business/ employment sites, overseeing work training and providing assistance in acquiring employment and developing job skills. Other duties may include soliciting work for work crews, developments of job leads, and educating clients about the world of work.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. One (1) year of documented experience (preferably working with individuals with disabilities and involved in the provision of vocational rehabilitation services) or equivalent relatable industry experience. Required certification: Job Coach (can be obtained within 1 year of hire.)

Tasks:
• To ensure that the service user is an active participant in all phases of the Job Placement process.
• To identify potential employment opportunities through accessing existing data, conducting an employment survey and networking.
• To market the Employment Program and services, as well as client abilities to Employers.
• To complete a Job analysis through observing a skilled worker completing the job and identifying appropriate instructional strategies.
• To complete an environmental analysis to access whether the workplace will be supportive environment for a client who may need some level of ongoing support from his / her co-workers.
• To arrange job interviews for the client and attend job interviews.
• To act as an advocate for the client where necessary.
• To provide employment supports to the client, employer, supervisor and co-workers.

• To train and assist the client throughout job placement and where necessary completes the task in accordance with employer standards.
• To report on a regular basis regarding clients progress.

Accountability: Reports to and is supervised directly by the Vocational Services Coordinator collaborates closely with designated staff within the Finance Department as identified by the CFO. Employee is also accountable for understanding and complying with policies and procedures, terms of certification, licensure and accreditation standards.

Continuous Education: Employees will be expected to participate in continuous learning, competency building and maintenance of competency skills. New employees, specifically, who provide direct services, require forty-eight hours of in-service training the first year and twenty-four hours per year thereafter.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in structured environments, office, community, client’s homes and a variety of settings.
When dispatched to private homes, provisions for safety are prearranged. Working hours are flexible in order to ensure accessible services to clients, families and other (i.e. some meetings may occur prior to 8:00a.m., after 5 p.m., or on weekends, etc.) Working conditions with some disagreeable factors present such as poor ventilation, uneven temperature, excessive noise, or exposure to external elements.
Performance Metrics:
• Position is responsible for at least six (6) successful placement at a level 2 or 3; or any combination that equals 6 placements annually and result in the successful completion of all milestone criterion and full compensation for milestones. OR Develop outsource work at a level that an enclave maintains the ability to be self supporting and offers employment to consumers at or exceeding minimum wage.
• Paperwork is completed in compliance with standard set forth by contracting agencies and submitted in a timely fashion.
• Client, contractor, and employer satisfaction surveys are consistently positive.
• Work quality / Client output is high for outsource contacts and enclave and complaints are dealt with efficiently and in a timely fashion.

• A mentor provides side by side, hands on shadowing, with consistent and constructive feedback. The mentor oversees accuracy, as well as verbal and visual skills with on-going communication to the direct supervisor.
